An open call for Finnish and Finland-based artists for a two-month residency at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, Dublin in February – March 2025.

TBG+S offers free accommodation and studio space for the artist. The residency offers the opportunity to engage with a vibrant community of artists, and to present their practice in the framework of TBG+S’ programme of public events, such as studio presentations, talks, screenings or mini exhibitions in the studio space. There is an artist’s fee and production/materials stipend of 3000 €, and a travel stipend of 1000 €.

TBG+S is a contemporary art gallery and artists’ studios complex located in Dublin city centre and the Temple Bar cultural quarter. Founded in 1983, the building houses thirty artists’ studios for professional visual artists working in a variety of media. Exhibitions are presented regularly and represent a cross-section of contemporary Irish and international visual arts practice. The TBG+S Curatorial Team represented Ireland at the 59th Venice Biennale 2022, with artist Niamh O’Malley.

Since the partnership began in 2007, TBG+S and HIAP have supported over twenty artists and curators from Ireland and Finland. The exchange programme is co-organised by HIAP – Helsinki International Artist Programme, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios and Finnish Institute in the UK and Ireland.

The jury members in Finland will make a shortlist of applicants, the final selection is made by TBG+S Curatorial Team.

The deadline for the applications is Thursday, August 15th, 2024 (11:59 pm, GMT +3).
